Abstract :
The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) EU directive, due to come into effect in August 2005, will impose regulations on European retailers and their suppliers in different regions, for recycling what they sell in Europe. Another EU directive will ban all electrical and electronic equipment containing excess amount of hazardous substances (RoHS) from July 2006. We target promotion of green electronics manufacturing, RoHS compliance and its impact on the supply chain management in China. We provide an ideal network of collaborations, and exchange of information, thus making green electronics manufacturing research and RoHS compliance a global focal point for a better electronics business.
