Abstract :
A variable speed wind generator system, having a wind turbine which drives a double-output induction generator DOIG is presented. The generator is connected to power electronic converters for the transformation from variable voltage-variable frequency, to constant voltage-constant frequency. The excitation voltage applied to the rotor makes the control of generated voltage and frequency and of active power. Laboratory tests were carried out for various operation modes determined by the characteristics of the wind speed. In order to study the effects of parameters variation on the power generated, the methodology we used was the comparison of the system´s behavior operating with and without wind turbine by an experimental laboratory bench tests. Results for scenarios considering different parameters variations are presented and discussed.
