  • Abstract
It is noted that a considerable number of problems exist in the practical implementation of continuous time OTA-C filters: restricted linear dynamic range and frequency dependence of the OTAs´ transconductance, sensitivity to parasitic capacitances, power and area minimization, etc. The authors discuss the use of multiple input/multiple output OTAs and other possible solutions to minimize these problems. In order to show the advantages of the proposed structures, a fifth-order lowpass elliptic filter with 1-dB passband ( w<1) ripple and 34-dB stopband (w>1.2) attenuation was designed and simulated
