Abstract :
This paper summarizes and analyses the voltage controlling modes of computer monitoring and controlling system (CMCS) in Hydro-plant. Based on these modes, the effect on electric power system stability and security was evaluated. It simulates some actual engineering systems on Real-Time-Digital-Simulators (RTDS). Among these examples, the voltages of generators were controlled by different modes at normal and isolated operation conditions. According to the results from RTDS simulation and the current characteristic of AVC, this paper introduced some suggestions to voltage controlling modes of computer monitoring and controlling system. These suggestions are reasonable and they can guide the operation of electric power system.
