Abstract :
A two joint, six muscle model of the arm was constructed to study the control of posture and movement by Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES). The musculotendon actuators and the anatomical structure were defined by using a dynamic simulation software. The technique of eigenvalue analysis was used to reveal the roles of mono and biarticular muscles in the maintenance of arm posture
