Abstract
An ontology-based genetic fuzzy agent for meeting scheduling system (MSS) is proposed in this paper. The genetic fuzzy agent uses a meeting scheduling ontology and a set of fuzzy personal ontologies for supporting a meeting host to select a suitable meeting time for the meeting invitees. The meeting scheduling ontology is utilized to record and describe the meeting scheduling domain knowledge for the genetic fuzzy agent. The genetic fuzzy agent uses the meeting scheduling ontology with meeting information and the fuzzy personal ontology to infer the suitable time slots. The meeting host can decide the final meeting time and announce the decision based on the MSS and various platforms, including PDA, cell phone, notebook, or desk computer. Furthermore, the genetic fuzzy agent adjusts the fuzzy personal ontology for the next meeting. The experimental results show that our approach can effectively work for MSS
