Abstract :
Homotopic morphological image processing software solution is developed for detection of hair cracks in PCB, which cannot be seen by naked eye. The proposed software solution is implemented using basic morphological operations like dilation, erosion, opening, closing, hit-miss transform, thinning, thickening skeletonizing and pruning. The software solution also performs image enhancement operations using mathematical morphology. The proposed software solution can be extended to detect thin bone fractures and real time automatic PCB fault detection
