Abstract
Due to the increasing number of users, and the limited bandwidth available in most modem communication systems, blind equalisation has become an important research topic over the last few years. Most of the techniques that have already been proposed rely solely on signal processing performed at the receiver, forgetting the important role played by the transmitter. In this paper we present a novel blind equalisation method based on linear periodically time-varying filtering performed at the transmitter. This operation induces cyclostationarity into the signal, and thus reduces the complexity of the signal processing algorithm at the receiver. The algorithm is robust even at low SNR conditions
