Abstract :
A family of multi-turn, planar microcoils fabricated on glass substrates for NMR microspectroscopy is described. Using these coils we have obtained signal-to-noise ratios of 5-10 per acquisition and spectral linewidths of less than 10 Hz. These planar microcoils have the potential to serve as the fundamental building block in more elaborate detection cells for specialized NMR microscopy probes
