  • Abstract
    This paper concentrate on the numerical study and simulation experiment of bifurcation and chaos in the forward converter, which is different from the previous investigated work in DC-DC converter without power transformer. First, the simplified model of transformer is built. Then, the iterative map for forward converter is derived. Based on the model, this paper provides the stable condition. According to the stable condition, we change the parameters of circuit, such as filter capacitor, filter inductance and load resistance, and investigate the bifurcation and chaos of forward converter including the time-domain waveforms, v-i phase portraits. There is good agreement between theory and experiment.
