Abstract :
An ultra wideband antipodal Vivaldi antenna is designed to cover from 8 to 50 GHz. The slot flare is tapered exponentially and the length and width of the slot flare are 1.7 and 0.6 inches, respectively. The measured antenna gain varies from 5 to 10 dBi, and the cross-polarization levels are less than -12 dB over the operating frequencies.
