Abstract
Satellite ocean color analysis provides a practical and meaningful tool to investigate bio-optical variability at the mesoscale. The main problem is to define robust algorithms for the retrieval of the concentration of optical constituents of sea water. This paper presents SeaWiFS algorithms obtained through a semi-analytic approach. The results relative to a case study on the Alboran Sea (Western Mediterranean Sea) are presented and discussed
