Abstract :
Recent progress on micromechanically tuned vertical cavity lasers surface emitting lasers (VCSEL) and resonant cavity detectors is reviewed. Results of large continuous tuning range, low threshold and high power VCSEL and novel self-tracking tunable detectors are discussed.
