Abstract :
A procedure is presented for the evaluation of the energy saving obtained by the use of AC adjustable-speed drives on pumps, fans, and other types of driven equipment, such as compressors or extruders and mixers. A method for the economic evaluation of the energy savings is also offered. These procedures and the necessary databases have been incorporated into a user-friendly computer program which can be operated on any IBM PC or compatible computer.<>
