Abstract
Tuning is defined as the process to alter the surface characteristics of CsI(Tl) crystals in order to produce a uniform light response, within strict Quality Control standards. The various methods of tuning are discussed as well as comparisons between different manufacturers´ crystals and a summary of tuning done for the BaBar Calorimeter
