Abstract
It is an important method for enhancing the stiffness of technical equipment and positioning accuracy to adopt over-positioning reasonably. However, research papers are so scarce in the theoretical field of this issue. A quantitative calculation method of over-positioning accuracy and interference probability with plane multi-pin is proposed, the calculation formula is deduced, and the phenomenon that the positioning accuracy can be enhanced by multi-pin over-positioning is validated theoretically, through analyzing factors associated with positioning accuracy based on the statistical characteristics of manufacturing sizes and taking typical over-positioning of plane multi-pin for instance. Theoretical foundation for designing technical equipment and corresponding mechanisms is provided. The example indicates that the results from both theoretical calculation and application are inosculated.
