Abstract :
Hughes Aircraft Company has successfully demonstrated the dissemination of high resolution, high speed imagery data and the transmission of low speed return data using low cost commercial satellite and commercial, off-the-shelf ground terminal technology. With commercial communications technology, CUPID can be implemented for a fraction of the cost of conventional military hardware and at the same time provide a substantial increase in communications capability to the tactical user
