In a hospital, the improvement of patient care requires the use of reliable (fault tolerant) and multimedia communication technologies between the patient´s bed and the nurse´s room. Today´s solutions are inflexible or expensive. To answer these needs, we propose MediaFlow, a flexible inexpensive solution based on a versatile software/hardware tool
