Abstract
Whether a digital watermarking procedure is good or not lies on its balance between watermark´s robustness and transparency. In this paper a watermark´s self-restoring technology is proposed. The new technology can effectively reinforce the watermark´s robustness without weakening its transparency. It takes advantage of the dual watermarking to set up a mapping between two watermarks. The mapping enables the self-restoring to restore the damaged watermarks as long as two watermarks are not destroyed at the same time.
