Abstract
TWTA transmission of multi-carrier signals is becoming increasingly common. Frequently, system linearity requirements allow multi-carrier operation of a TWTA at or near saturation. This is often the case when the TWTA is linearized. This paper investigates the relationship between single carrier and multi-carrier saturation. It is shown that by using a limiter-linearizer combination, TWTA 2-carrier saturated power, can be increased by more than 1 dB and TWTA multi-carrier power (/spl ges/4) by more than 2 dB.
