Abstract :
In this paper, we are focusing on the symbol-rate estimation problem of MFSK signals under wideband receiving situation. The channelization is indispensable in the shortwave wideband receiving signal processing. It will arise signal spectrum distortions when the carrier frequency of the needed MFSK signal is unknown. We proposed a new subband processing based method to solve this inevitably question. The signal model of subband MFSK signal is presented and analyzed firstly, and the correlation between symbol-rate and the transtion of MFSK subband signal´ instantaneous amplitude is pointed out. Then we present the novel symbol-rate estimation method based on the instantaneous amplitude of the subband signal, and give out deduction of the estimation expectation to prove the method is unbiased. To testify the efficiency and credibility of the method, Monte Carlo computer simulations are carried out. When half of the 8FSK signal´s spectrum is damaged, the symbol-rate estimation method is almost 100% accurate as long as the SNR is above 4 dB.
