Abstract :
Nowadays, DC-UPS (uninterruptible power supply) systems are becoming a very interesting solution in order to improve efficiency in SMPS. To incorporate power factor correction (PFC) and fast dynamic output response maintaining a low cost is an important challenge. This paper presents a complete critical design consideration analysis of a recently proposed topology (Rodriguez et al., 1996) and new improvements which incorporates all the characteristics mentioned above
