Abstract :
It is noted that soft switching obtained by means of C or LC snubbers and forward discharge power converter forward zero-current-switched QRC like an energy recovery network replaces a simple MOSFET switch without changes in power topology (one or multiple switches) and control circuit (one drive signal for each is holding up). All control strategies (fixed or variable frequency and current of voltage mode) are possible, i.e., pulse-width-modulated (PWM) converters become low switching loss topologies, and high frequency is feasible
