Abstract :
In this paper, we address the optimal mask-constraint UWB pulse waveform design problem. We let the basic pulse waveform to be synthesized by FIR filter. But unlike the optimization of the mask utilization efficiency by way of autocorrelation of filter coefficients in [1][2], we do it directly with respect to the filter coefficients, and get performance improvement, such as larger mask utilization ratio and shorter filter length requirement. We also analyze the influence of the basis pulse´s parameters on the synthesized pulse.
