Abstract
The phase synthesis problem according to the prescribed amplitude directivity pattern for a circular array is considered. The variational statement of the problem is used. As an optimization criterion, both the mean-square deviation of the created amplitude directivity pattern from the prescribed one and their weighted inner product are used. The problem is non-linear, and it is solved by successive approximation methods
