Abstract
The surface wave scattering problem by a finite periodic structure of arbitrary profile in a ground plane covered by a dielectric slab, has been considered. As sampled examples, the two cases, in which the cavity shapes (i.e., concave profile) are of the rectangular groove and the echelette types have been dealt with.
