Abstract :
The evolution of TD-SCDMA is LTE TDD. But the scarcity of spectrum resource below 1GHz is one of the most serious problems in the deployment of LTE TDD. Digital Dividend spectrum, which is free up for the conversion from analog TV to digital TV, is the ideal frequency band to deploy LTE TDD below 1GHz. So the coexistence issue between Digital Terrestrial Television Broadcast (DTTB) and LTE TDD in Digital Dividend Spectrum is important in the spectrum plan [1]. In this paper, the interference from DTTB to LTE TDD is analyzed using deterministic analysis method and Monte Carlo simulation based on the digital TV standard of China. The results show that the uplink of LTE TDD is interfered more seriously. The effect of increasing protecting distance is not significant if protection distance is already large. The coexistence of the two systems in adjacent channels is possible if reasonable measures are taken in the network plan and spectrum plan.
