Abstract :
Mobile ad hoc network (MANET) with the feature of without infrastructure and centralized management has great application prospect for scenes that require fast and temporary network configuration. Multicasting can efficiently support a variety of applications that are characterized by a close degree of collaboration, typically for MANET applications currently envisioned. MAODV protocol is an on-demand multicast routing protocol in MANET. This paper presents the improvement of MAODV which introduces link failure prediction technique to increase the delivery ratio and decrease the packet delivery delay, thus improves the performance of networks with a small increase of protocol overload. We evaluated the new protocol´s performance with MAODV for MANET via extensive simulation.
