Abstract
Notice of Retraction
After careful and considered review of the content of this paper by a duly constituted expert committee, this paper has been found to be in violation of IEEE´s Publication Principles.
We hereby retract the content of this paper. Reasonable effort should be made to remove all past references to this paper.
The presenting author of this paper has the option to appeal this decision by contacting TPII@ieee.org.
Aiming at the actuality that missile is inspected periodically and its life data together with the inspecting information are underutilized, this paper puts forward a case 2 interval-censored proportional hazards model to analyze the influence of key inspecting parameters on the failure rate of missile, moreover, a storage availability model under periodical inspection is established based on missile inspection and maintenance engineering practice. By adopting the prescriptive availability threshold as inspecting policy control limit, the inspecting period can be optimized according to the condition of missile and the problem that inspection-introduced failure caused by excessive inspection can be also effectively solved. Finally, a numerical example is illustrated to prove the effectiveness of the method.
