Abstract :
In this paper, upper bounds on the symbol error probability for punctured ring convolutional coded continuous phase modulation with maximum likelihood sequence detection are investigated. The bounds are based on the numerical calculation method using union bound, and can be used as a tool to analyze and design punctured ring convolutional coded continuous phase modulation systems.
