Abstract :
An evolutionary tuning method for automatic impedance matching in radio communication systems is developed based on genetic algorithms (GA). A detailed tuning procedure is presented and a software package has been developed. Simulation results using the software package are given. The implementation of the proposed tuning algorithm in a microprocessor-controlled automatic antenna timing unit is also considered
