Abstract
We propose a noncoherent space-frequency code construction method for MIMO-OFDM system using common gradient-based large-scale optimization algorithms. It reduces the code search complexity of constellations with relatively larger numbers of subcarriers and higher data rates. In order to reduce the decoding complexity, we adapt the suboptimal detection method in [1] for flat fading MIMO channels to the multipath MIMO channel case here. The performance of the reduced suboptimal detection method is comparable to the GLRT detector, with less computational effort.
