Due to the lacking of equipment sharing and horizontal support mechanism, the traditional multi-echelon inventory reserves and supplies cannot satisfy the demands of modern logistics. According to these problems, a two-echelon inventory system is studied based on the equipment sharing strategy. Taking the safety stock into account, equipment transfer, shortage, fill rate and other factors, the equipment sharing model and horizontal support model of the two-echelon inventory are established. Subsequently, the solution of the models is presented, and an example is given for case study. The calculation results indicate that the models are feasible and valid.
