Abstract
This paper presents a method for estimating a mapping parameter of the S-matrix method that is useful for calculating the most dominant eigenvalue. In recent years, the S-matrix method was developed to make the eigenvalue calculation faster. The method makes use of mapping the eigenvalue from a-plane to z-plane. Thus, the method allows us to focus on the most dominant eigenvalue. However, the conventional method has a problem that the mapping of parameter is determined by trial and error. This paper proposes method for estimating the parameter efficiently. The method is based on the Gershgorin theorem that specifies the eigenvalue region. The proposed method has been successfully applied to sample systems
