Abstract :
A methodology for the evaluation of a supercomputer with respect to both its computational power and the support environment offered to the end users is proposed. The basic idea behind the approach is that the computational power of a supercomputer is not the only measure for characterizing its performance; the support environment offered to end users is another important aspect to be considered. A few experimental results obtained on two supercomputers are also presented
