Abstract :
A systematic method is presented for integrating organizational, technical, and business issues in the implementation of information technology at all stages in the life cycle. The approach is based on the assumption that line managers are the key to effective implementation. The discussion provides exemplars of positive and negative managerial behavior. A set of diagnostic frameworks and a prescriptive methodology are provided for assessing and managing the organizational impact of information technology
