Abstract :
The paper begins with some brief theory as to how a gasket maintains the electrical continuity of a shield, and then describes in detail the best methods. Emphasis is placed on surface finish and a computer aided groove design programme, as well as the importance of performing physical and electrical tests on gaskets to provide long term quality assurance. A number of new innovative gasket materials and their benefits are described
