Abstract :
The Unity Plus method of winding a motor is presented. The differences between the Wanlass motor winding method and the Unity Plus method are discussed. The difference between power factor correction and efficiency is discussed. The characteristics that influence the efficiency of a motor are listed. The limitations and restrictions that are inherent in a motor, once it is built, and the items that are available to be manipulated to improve the efficiency are included. The different testing methods and tests that have been performed on the Unity Plus rewound motors are covered. A compilation of observations and comments by manufacturers, engineers, and users on the Unity Plus motor winding method is presented
