  • Abstract
    Summary form only given. Our fully automated device for the generation of a prepulse in amulti-TW Ti:sapphire amplifier chain presented here, allows for the generation of tight foci for pre- and main pulse with excellent spatial overlap even on a sub 10 /spl mu/m scale, a large dynamical range for both pre- and main pulse intensities, and does not generate undesired intensity peaks inside the laser system.
