Abstract :
The call for cheaper, better, faster space missions has become a major mantra for the 1990s. This battle cry may be far easier to extol than actually apply. The purpose of this paper is to provide a journalist´s view of what impact the push toward cheaper, better, and faster space missions has had on select projects-such as the Mars Pathfinder and Lewis programs. Furthermore, how such programs will shape public perceptions of the overall U.S. Space endeavor is surveyed
