Abstract :
In order to enhance the fixture board design efficiency and support fixture board original design, a framework method based on functional features was proposed. In this method, Functional Requirements (FRs) for the fixture board structures were analyzed. Through incorporating FR and Design Knowledge (DK) into the fixture board´s Structure Features (SFs), the Functional Features (FFs) of fixture board were defined and grouped using the object-oriented technology. In order to design the SFs in FFs, a mapping mechanism from Functional Requirements Domain (FRD) to Structure Features Domain (SFD) was established based on the DK, as well as a combination mechanism to organize SFs to generate a Integrated Structure of Fixture Board (ISFB), and the two mechanisms were both explicitly expressed as optimization models. Finally, an example was introduced, and the result demonstrated the feasibility of the framework method.
