Abstract
With development and deployment of information and telecommunication technologies integrated with lightweight mobile devices, pinpointing location on the move has become a common exercise. The integration of geospatial information and mobile Internet is simultaneity driven by market demands and technologies. Mobile geographical information service extends unlimited information on the Internet and the powerful service functions of GIS to mobile devices users. Supported by 3G data technologies/services, mobile GI services create a new channel of business practice, and thousands of potential applications and services. A complete end-to-end mobile GI services solution is described for organizations interested in offering mobile GI services to consumer or business subscribers.
