Abstract :
A shift-invariant wavelet-based method is developed to detect the envelope of voltage flickers. It uses a linear phase complex wavelet and the quadrature signal approach in wavelet-domain, and takes a fast dyadic pyramid algorithm not a time consuming shift -invariant one. Just two smoothed wavelet transforms and one detailed wavelet transform are implemented. These make the method fast and accurate
