Title :
Motion control of an unmanned vehicle using stored video images

Abstract :
The correlation functions used, although simple, provide a method of controlling an unmanned vehicle enabling it to either follow a pre-taught path or to follow a computer generated sequence of images equivalent to the pre-taught path. The images are not processed or interpreted and hence the need for extensive image processing and image recognition is avoided. In addition, the method is not specific to unmanned vehicles but can be applied to other areas such as automated assembly. Improvements are still required as the method is particularly susceptible to rotational errors and further work is required to overcome this problem
