The standards are coming hurrah! hurrah? [railway EMC]

The author describes how European standards-making body CENELEC has a Railway Committee TC9X and this decided that EMC product standards were required for railways. A series of pre-standards in the ENV 50121 series will be in effect from 15 January 1996, covering EMC aspects of emission and immunity at power and radio frequencies.
