  • Abstract
    An apparatus has been developed for the precise measurement of the departure from a true cylinder of a 50 mm diameter bar. Four orthogonally disposed capacitance probes are mounted on a stage which can be moved along the rotating bar. The capacitance measurements use a novel technique employing sigma-delta modulation of the bridge arm voltage
