Abstract :
The dynamic range and noise have been investigated for our novel high temperature superconductor (HTS) dc current comparator in which a current concentrator is used to improve the flux sensitivity. Initial applications for non-invasive sensing of charged-particle beam currents are envisaged. Potential applications of this technique to fundamental metrology are also under consideration, such as in a physical determination of the faraday by an ion-collection method
