Abstract
Based on the fourth-order cumulant of signals received by a uniform circular array, a method for estimating the 2D direction of arrival is discussed. It can be employed to estimate parameters in the environment of arbitrary Gaussian noise without any spectral peak searching. The parameter match method is analyzed. An iterative algorithm for the higher-order cumulant is discussed, with which the process of data sampling and parameter estimating can be done in parallel. The validity of the method is proved by the results of simulation.
