Abstract
threshold setting methods for serial search acquisition of frequency-hopping waveforms are considered. A reference channel detector (RCD) is proposed which shows considerable immunity with respect both to changes in signal dynamics and pulse jamming, as opposed to the constant and adaptive threshold setting procedures reported previously. The performance of the RCD scheme is evaluated and compared to that of the conventional detectors. The results prove the significantly higher robustness of the RCD
