Abstract
A system for automatic extraction of low-order models for magnetic devices, such as inductors, transformers and electric machines, is presented. The physics-based models, derived by mathematical approaches starting from established physical principles, are constructed without ad-hoc assumption. Then, low-order models are mathematically extracted by using order-reduction techniques with quantifiable error bounds. Simple, rapid-to-simulate mathematical models are achieved and ready to be integrated into system-level simulation circuits
